Vytynanka "Confession"

Vytynanka "Confession" - collaboration with Daria Alyoshkina, ukrainian artist whose monumental vytynankas went down in world's cultural history.

We used modern technology to make this beautiful dark-red vytynanka the main element of design that is complimented by a white linen shirt.

This is how Daria is describing her work: This vytynanka has 2 names - "Tree of life" - is a more traditional and classic title for it, and my work name - "Confession". I was inspired by a classic image scheme of "tree of life" - "vase tree", crown of which is a flower, and roots are pysanka with a pattern. I usually use blooming tree in my work when i want to tell about love. Also you can see birds on stems of the "vase tree"; On lower stems i symbolically pictured two male birds, and on higher stems - female birds. The plot is a male bird confessing his love to a female bird.
